12 of 12: When I tried keeping track of the day with snapchat

I'm new-ish to Snapchat but it's been pretty entertaining stalking folks and being all micro moments and all that, but I thought it would be a good way to keep track of my day. And although I can't imagine doing it solely on Snapchat (it disappears after all -- even if I downloaded the video), it's a nifty way of doing things.

The 12th was a rather normal day, work-wise. Meetings out of the office (so there's a new snap in there) and just a nice pace. Four months down this year, eight more of these to go.

  • Take 12 photos on the 12th of each month
  • Post the pictures chronological order
  • Indicate the time, location, and a small comment

    01. 12:23am, my bedroom
I'm running the Snoopy Run on the 24th of April and I haven't been training as much as I should, so it was good that I actually got to sneak in this half walk/half run. Not sure how I'll survive the actual run -- where I'm up against 7 year olds.

    02. 01:07am, my bedroom
I love catching up on John Oliver and every Monday night, I look forward to actually watching the HBO series. It's not news at all but it feels like it is and it's good enough for me. That's a horrible excuse, I know.

    03. 06:46am, my bedroom
I don't know why I'm waking up earlier and earlier these days (let's not jinx it) but the sunrise was pretty damn hard to ignore. I swear I couldn't believe how pink and pretty the sky was. Not a bad way to wake up.

    04. 07:57am, MRT
Rush hour on the train is pretty packed but I've had worse (hello, Manila) and so my first world problems aren't quite problems. My 9-station trip from home to office is a breeze and I shouldn't be complaining whatsoever.

    05. 08:21am, Istana Park
Plus, I get to see this every morning. This park is the tiniest thing ever but this nice patch of green is always a nice breaker between the office and the rest of Orchard/the city, so it's always a welcome trek.

    06. 09:06am, my office desk
And it's mail mail and more mail. I'm trying to limit the amount of times I check my mail for maximum efficiency. I haven't found the right balance yet, but I think i'm getting there. I tried this new thing called FOKASU so I hope it works out.

    07. 10:51am, Kith Cafe
I really like this cafe pretty near the office and though the coffee is a tad pricey, the croissants are heaven! I shouldn't be eating too many of these babies but I can't help it. It's seriously delicious.

    08. 12:45pm, office pantry
And so to make up for the croissant, it's a salad for lunch! Sayaka is being a great influence and letting me eat salads again even if all I want is fast food so it's a good thing she's around to keep me in line.

    09. 03:16pm, client office
And we're at a client's for a pretty long meeting which is good productivity-wise but I just wish I could spend more time away from meetings. Still, it's always welcome to go to a client-office especially when the view is amazing.

    10. 04:52pm, MRT
I love how pretty the stations are along the Yellow line. There's always artwork or installations or just pretty things to look at while waiting in the non-existent line for the train to arrive. Disco raindrops.

    11. 05:037pm, my office pantry
And it's time for friends to discover what the hell i've been doing the entire day, taking photos of my day. It's pretty insane that I've been doing this for a long time. I never realized, but it's always funny to look back.

    12. 08:03pm, office desk hopping
And now it's time to bug folks before I go home. The graphic designers are my snapchat friends (and they're also a minimum 6 years younger than me) so I'm down the kids. They're pretty damn good at this, snapchat business, I must say.
