On Repeat: Going to the Edge of Glory

Marry The Night[Amazon]
So admittedly, I'm not a big Lady Gaga fan at all. In fact, if I didn't get the call on a Tuesday night that my lovely office mates had extra tickets, I wouldn't have bothered attending either of her concerts (she had two in Manila). But I got the call and I'm not one to say no, so I ended up going all the way to SM Mall of Asia Arena to see Lady Gaga's Born this Way Ball after merealy hearing all about it from mega fans.

And well, she didn't disappoint. I don't think I'm a convert to the little monsters but I sure as hell enjoyed myself that night. And yes, Lady Gaga plus a few drinks did inspire some regretful quasi-inebriated texting, what's a Lady Gaga concert without a good story about it after, right?

Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory

Though I wasn't familiar with a lot of her new songs, she did play all the old ones I knew and then came to realize why she's so viable. Her songs are so damn catchy. And I was literally tired for her the entire time. The stage was pretty amazing considering she had to bring her concert half way around the world. And so now, I must resort to YouTube videos of her singles if only to prolong the 'magic'. She knows how to work a crowd.

Kylie Minogue - Time Bomb

I haven't heard anything from Kylie in a really long time and now that I see her in fighting form, it still amazes me how she can look and sound this amazing after all this time. Denim cut-offs? She looks great in color and in black and white and still makes me want to get up and dance. Mission accomplished.

Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops

Is it come back season? Because I like seeing Nelly Furtado again. It's been waaaaay too long since the last time I saw her. I'm actually hoping this album is a good one just because she's made me wait long enough. I know she's good with her upbeat but I'm seriously missing her ballads. Here's to hoping for a great follow-up.

Azealia Banks - 212 (feat. Lazy Jay)

I have hauntes to thank for my introduction and education to Miss Azealia Banks and I'm hitting myself wondering why I didn't get into this sooner. She's exactly what I need right now to get out of my self-imposed slump. I just need happy, awesome music and this is what she's giving me. I approve, completely. Thank you, Jenn.

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

And finally, I have no one to blame but myself and Justin Bieber for this. Though I'm late to the party, I think I played it enough in the past few weeks to bring myself up to speed. Do I think Miss Jepsen can come up with anything catchier than this? I think not. But do I really care? Nope. This one's fun enough.
