my room; 6:41 am

You know how I joined that 30 for 30 Remix Challenge? Well this chart keeps me sane in the mornings. I told you I planned it all out. At least the only thing I have to worry about is accessories. And it's not like I have a lot of that, so it's calmer in the mornings now.

my room; 6:43 am

And this is the new mobile phone. The first one I've ever bought too. See my first phone, a Nokia 3210 was bought for me by my dad in Grade 6. My second phone was a Nokia 6510, was a hand-me-down from my dad in 3rd year high school. Then my cousin Niq gave me her old Motorolla Razr in college which I adored until it died on me during John Mayer. So really, I've been pretty lucky. First Samsung. First self-bought phone. Plus this was on sale.

my room; 6:50 am

Funny story with these slippers. I was out for an event for work last Saturday and my sandals gave way. I shouldn't be surprised. The other half broke a few months ago but I had it repaired. This time, the other half gave way. It was a good thing i was in a mall and there were lots of stores. These were on sale for 80 pesos (roughly $1.25) but it really clashed with my already very casual outfit. I basically looked like trash.

dining room; 7:01 am

On weekdays, I have oatmeal without any add-ons. It's quick and easy and the only 'healthy' thing I have all day. Before, I would skip on breakfast cause I was always in a rush. But nowadays, with my longer hours, I try to at least have breakfast in case I forget to eat lunch (like I did last Wednesday).

North Avenue Station; 7:45 am

I've been waking up later for work these past few days and so I also catch more of the morning rush. NOT FUN. So I'm hoping they don't start kicking me out of the train when I do a 'round trip' -- meaning I don't get off the last station and wait for it to return back load folks. This is the view from when the train is at 'rest' for like five seconds. That's SM North EDSA and it used to be much smaller. It's since expanded so much, it's practically one of the biggest malls in Manila. It extends more to the right and left. My camera couldn't take it all.

my 'new' cubicle; 8:28 am

I am now much nearer my boss. Not that this is the best thing, but I'm also nearer the folks I usually deal with so this is a good thing. I don't know if I was able to share this, but this sticker of my name? It made me bleed from the lip. So whenever I see this sticker, I remember how I should never put stickers in between my lips, no matter how un-sticker-y they are, or for how short a period of time.

my cubicle; 8:31 am

BIGGEST SHOCKER OF MY LIFE. I'm usually so religious in cleaning up my inbox. It's sort of an anal thing where I categorize my mail and remove all attachments and all that jazz, but I've been so busy lately, I haven't had the time. And seeing this mail in my inbox really woke me up. So that's how I spent my first few minutes at work, cleaning out my inbox.

my cubicle; 11:01 am

Kim, a good friend from high school, who also works in the same office, but a different unit text me asking if I was free to take a break with her. My boss was out today and though I had some stuff to do, I BARELY see Kim so it was fun to catch up over green tea. Those things are awesome. I know I quite Nestea Iced tea, but this tea business is too good.

my cubicle; 12:10 pm

Despite having no boss, I still had a shit ton of work to do -- and this is my magnetic wall of all the lists I've made. It's funny cause right before this, I interviewed an intern who was like 2 years younger than me. It was surreal because I was just an intern a few years back and now I'm interviewing them? So weird.

my cubicle; 12:16 pm

Quite possibly my most favorite part of my cubicle, is the 'rear view' mirror I have attached to the corner of my monitor. I have the worst seat ever. i'm the end of a column and my back is facing my boss. Then I see everyone on my column (all of us with our backs to the thoroughfare) had these mirrors. And so I got one at the hardware store and have been marginally calmer at work ever since. Plus my mom says it's good feng shui.

my aunt's house; 2:54 pm

My aunt lives extremely close to the office, like across the street so I try to drop by on Fridays during my lunch break. But since I usually work through lunch, I end up having my lunch while watching TV with her at around 2pm. Best part? i always have yummy dessert thanks to my cousin. Chocolate cupcakes win.

office pantry; 6:45 pm

My office apparently loves throwing contests for the employees. We've had loads of stuff for Halloween. Last week, they fed everyone pizza and this week it was icecream. But since I was working, I didn't get to line up for it. It's okay though, cause I won a damn gallon -- I was one of the first 11 to reply to the office email. Great way to start the weekend.
