just for tonight darlin[30 Down/22 To Go!]
[+] It's AUGUST ALREADY people. How can this be?! We are literally more than halfway through the year. Time flying fast is the understatement of the year. I'm afraid to blink. It might be 2011 when I open my eyes.

[-] My uncle left for New York again today and though it was so much fun having him around, it'll be nice to be able to take a breather and rest for a bit too. My aunt is still here though so it's not too sad.

[+] I caught the first episode of the 3-part series Sherlock and if I have time I'll probably include it in my TV recap this week because IT IS SO BRILLIANT. I'm in love with the Sherlock/Watson bromance.

[+] I don't know how fast August will go but there are holidays (hopefully they're non-working ones) in store, so I'm looking forward to them. Have a good week everyone!

It was my dad's birthday and he took me to my favorite bookstore for their sale. I feel so selfish we did what I wanted, but it was fun (though tiring) to be out the whole day. After having lunch at my grandma's house we headed straight to the sale then hung out at High Street afterwards. I'm sure my dad was tired but it was real sweet of him to drive so far for me.
And despite getting home late last night, I managed to catch Mad Men and was so blown away I had to Skype with jamypye and _lexizzle no matter how early it was this morning. Good times up ahead. I sense more Skype sessions thanks to Mad Men's awesomeness. Also, I'm back at work after another leave. I'm getting spoiled.
I love midweeks. The week seems to go by exponentially faster when it comes around. Though work wasn't too heavy, I am somehow tired and exhausted. I'm lucky my dad was able to pick me up because (other than saving 12 bucks) it feels good to just zone out on the way home. This is coming from the girl that didn't even go to work on Monday. I'm so spoiled.
I barely got to sit in my office chair today as we ended up attending an Internet marketing conference to support my teammate Paulo who gave a speech. I don't say it enough but despite the constant dramarama in the office, i really love my teammates. They're too awesome to me. I ended up having dinner at my grandma's house again. I'm really gonna miss my aunt/uncle when they go back to the US
I got home so exhausted for some reason that I ended up eating a lot for my afternoon snack only to realize we were eating out for my uncle's going away dinner. I was so stuffed by the end of the night, it wasn't funny. At the same time, it also happened to be my college org's anniversary. I was so lazy but managed to drag myself to drop by for a while. It was great to see old friends for a bit.
For some reason, I could not stay awake during The Sorcerer's Apprentice. However, I was wide awake for Toy Story 3 and it made me cry so bad. That evening, we end up at my cousin's house to celebrate her birthday (the last of the July celebrants) with even MORE food (notice a pattern here?) and just lots of fun.
My uncle was set to leave at 12 noon so he's been conditioning himself to avoid jetlag. After getting home from my cousin's house, we try to stay up with him (only my mom and cousin succeed) by playing mah-jong. I ended up waking up at 5am. It sucks that I missed the last bonding session with my uncle but oh well, my body was screaming for sleep.
