Girl crush alert! Seems like most of my girl crushes were out and about these past few weeks making me a very happy fangirl. Though I haven't seen most of them in the movies lately (most recent was Emilie Remember Me), I'm glad they're slowly easing back into the spotlight again. Plus with the prospect of Zooey and Natalie in one movie together? I'm excited already.
Zooey's been playing music festivals with She & Him and other than sounding great, she's looking adorable as always. I would love to just raid her closet and take as many dresses as I could. I wish I could wear a dress every day!
Adding this to list of goals: must see She & Him live some day. Preferably at Coachella so that's hitting two birds with one stone and all. Still, I'm excited to see Zooey in her upcoming film Your Highness with Natalie Portman. Talk about girl crushes colliding.
Speaking of Natalie, she showed up at he 2010 AFI Life Achievement Award in a gorgeous pale pink Dior guipure lace dress. The AFI Awards honored Mike Nichols whom Natalie worked with on the movie Closer. She's looking a little tired but that's probably from filming Thor. I'm excited for that one too.
Ashley went places this week, first showing up at the 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball Lela Rose beaded shift. She looks a little old for my liking in that event but she switched it up and went young again when she showed up at the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge (where R-Bils was too!) in a brown mini dress that looked great with her newly lighter hair.
Girl gets around the fashion scene for real. She showed up at the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards and also at the Dinner with a Designer honoring Brian Atwood hosted by InStyle and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). How I wish I were chummy with designers. Rachel looked adorable both dressed up (Peter Som dress, Brian Atwood shoes and accessorized with a Ferragamo clutch) and down at both events.
Meanwhile at the actual CFDA Awards, Emilie showed up in a cute Max Azria dress and Ippolita jewerly while looking adorable with Alexis Bledel. I miss Rory Gilmore already. Emilie also attended the Whitney Museum Gala hosted by Max Azria wearing a blue vintage-looking dress, and Brian Atwood heels. Seeing Emilie look adorable is making me want to get my Remember Me DVD already. Patience is a virtue
Also at the CFDA Awards was Dakota looking very innocent and yet sort of grown up in her white mini Marchesa dress. Marchesa has a good way of looking age appropriate for the kiddies and yet ultra glam for those a tad older. Nevertheless, her dress looked real pretty on her. Prom dress anyone? This girl's gonna have a whole slew of designers to choose from when she does go to prom.
