[-] And the new year is here and 2009 is officially over. It's still beyond me, how time flies waaaaay too fast now that I'm working. Before I know it, I'll blink and it's 2011.

[-] My brother _lexizzle has gone back to Singapore which only means reality calls and the vacation is over. I'm not really looking forward to work just yet, but I guess that's a pretty normal feeling for most of the workforce.

[+] Funny story: You know how I kept bugging everyone to write on my Time Capsule. Well guess who forgot to write to herself?! ME! It pissed me off that I didn't get to write to myself but oh well, let it go.

I didn't even realize that Wide Awake had finally updated with it's epilogue until searchtheskies pointed it out. And that's because I've been busy trying to catch up on Clipped Wings and Inked Armour. I'm totally last on this bandwagon but I guess it's never too late to join it. I started the year with some Wide Awake and I'll be ending it with CWAIA. Not a bad year for fic. In fact, if I were to count how much fic I've read, it'd surely amp up my mere 25 Book quota. I keep putting off cleaning my room in favor of sleeping and reading fic. I got FOUR updates in one day from A Rough Start outtake (which just makes me love dad!ward more), The Cannabean Betrothal (I swear this author keeps churning out amazing chapter after next), Mens Rea: A Guilty Mind (I don't know how they'll get together, but E/B need to!), and Emancipation Proclamation (im' just a sucker for mafia!ward). I know. I'm too freaking spoiled. Oh the joys of the Christmas break. So much for fixing my room before the New Year -- looks like I'll be doing that tomorrow. Instead, I worked on my Best of 2009 entry which though underwhelming, took forever. I can't believe how much has happened and yet how un-productive 2009 still feels. It doesn't hep either that my body clock is so messed up that I sleep in the wee hours of the morning and wake up at noon. Obviously, I'm on vacation. I'll need to fix my body clock soon though. Work beckons in the near future. I actually got around to cleaning my room before the new year. Well tidying up is more like it. I saw some of the craziest contracts we drew up in high school and I wish I could see old high school friends so I can bring up the silly things we signed and promised to do or not do. I ended up finally letting go of old debut invitations and just silly things I've been holding onto since FOREVER. I love decompressing. It's good I decided to clean up. That was a lot of reminiscing right there.
Two shots of tequila and my parents are scandalized. It's funny cause I don't like wine or champagne which my dad always offers me. So I guess it was a bit 'shocking' for him to see me down my tequila without flinching. I saw my dad's eyes pop out. After our Media Noche, we watched some Up which made me cry like a baby. We ended New Years with a wonderful dinner at 145 Degree Farenheit. I really am not a big steak person, but the rest of my family is, so that's that. Right before going to bed, I of course see this. I'm too tired to stay and watch fandom explode, so instead I go to bed. When I wake up, we're set to bring _lexizzle to the airport already and this makes me incredibly sad. I feel like I haven't spent much time with him since he visited (thanks to work) and I just wish things were like they used to be. Still, it gets easier saying goodbye each time. It's more like a see you later already now, but I still wish he'd just stick around. It's always so nice when I get surprised by things, cause I rarely do. After my afternoon nap, I wake up to find that Anna (my thesis partner) is at my house with a gift for me! She got me a really nice dress that I would not have chosen for myself but looks good (though I may have to lose some weight) and a bag. But really more than that, it was just so nice to see her. I do miss her terribly especially after spending almost every waking moment with her in college.
