|I see you Mr. Weitz||[LA Times]|
In 57 days, I will wake up to go to work and wish I could be watching New Moon instead (but thanks to my probational status, I can't take paid days off yet). So I will wait patiently till I get off in the evening then I can rush to the mall and have my first of many re-watches of this oh so anticipated Chris-Weitz-directed installment.
Also, thanks to work, I don't get to lurk around the communities I usually frequent as often and thus my total thanks to mizra who brought it to my attention that a) the Backlot behind the scenes photos were already released like days ago; and b) the New Moon soundtrack track listing too was announced. I'm always late in fandom.
Just part of why I love Edward Cullen
I don't know what scenes these could possibly be, but they're in the forest and it doesn't look like he's saying goodbye but green screens and forest with Edward and some Chris Weitz? You can't go wrong. Plus somehow he looks less chalky. Or is it because things aren't so blue this time around? Maybe so.
Hello Bella and Your Long Luscious Hair
And I love how the comforter from the first movie seems to be carried over to the next. Props to continuity. Yeah yeah the Volvo's black now, but her blanket's still purple! That's cause Charlie picked these out people! They're sticking around cause the Chief of Police said so. Also, Kristen sure knows how to rock that bathrobe.
Everything works better with more Edward/Bella
Also, Chris Weitz sure knows how to tease. What the hell is happening with Edward crouching over Bella on her bed in the middle of the forest?!! And Bella crouching over body-double Bella on her/their bed in the middle of the forest? In Chris Weitz, I trust and so I won't even try to think this one through too much because I feel C.Weitz has some crazy amazing shit up his sleeve.
Cause Taylor Deserves to Join in the Fun
I don't know how they got gym equipment in the middle of the forest, but lord knows I have no more excuses for not wanting to work out or exercise, because if Taylor can do it in the forest, then so can I (in the comfort of my living room).
I wanna be Alexandra Pastavas
You know how I used to be unsure of what I wanted to be when I grew up? Well I sort of have a better idea of
DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE — MEET ME ON THE EQUINOX BAND OF SKULLS — FRIENDS THOM YORKE — HEARING DAMAGE LYKKE LI — POSSIBILITY THE KILLERS — A WHITE DEMON LOVE SONG ANYA MARINA — SATELLITE HEART MUSE — I BELONG TO YOU (NEW MOON REMIX) BON IVER & ST. VINCENT — ROSYLN BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB — DONE ALL WRONG HURRICANE BELLS — MONSTERS SEA WOLF — THE VIOLET HOUR OK GO — SHOOTING THE MOON GRIZZLY BEAR — SLOW LIFE EDITORS — NO SOUND BUT THE WIND ALEXANDRE DESPLAT — NEW MOON (THE MEADOW)
And with the crazy genius of hers (and I'm sure some input from the ever loveable C.Weitz), the New moon soundtrack was brought to life and I CANNOT wait to get my hands on this album. I have horrible taste in music and usually rely on friend's recs, but this track listing sounds amazing and I'm just freaking excited to hear all of this. Because if Death Cab's first single is any indication, then this is going to be one rocking movie.
Can C.Weitz can get any more awesome than that colorful beanie on his head? I think not. I don't want to put take the pressure off him just yet (I have to see the movie first) but really, by the looks of all of this, it's going to be hard for this movie to suck. I really truly hope it doesn't.
