In The End, When All Your Hats Are In The Air; Nobody's Gonna Care

Goodbye UP Diliman! Hello Unemployment -- 16 Down/36 to go!Photo courtesy of me
This is probably the last time I can use the tag college senior because this week, I finally graduated from being a college senior. I remember every week I'd count down to the number of days till I graduated and this week it came down to those single digits, 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Till it finally reached zero.

And now that I have nothing to count down to, I'm not sure what to do with myself. But this week will definitely stand out in my head (or at least the end of the week) as a week wherein I finally made that transition from limbo to bum-hood. I don't know if I'm quite read for the real world just yet, but I guess there's only one way to find out.

[-] Went to Quiapo in the afternoon to buy DVDs for the summer and to my disappointment, I find out there are no BOX SETS!!! I wanted to get Coffee Prince in a nice packaging and nice quality but there are no box sets. This really made me sad. I hope to find some in 168.

[+] Finally started to watch Bones! dorkfish04 and just about every single person on my flist has convinced me I should be watching this show, so hopefully I'll catch up in time for the season 4 finale.

[-] I went with my mom to the wake of my friend Allan's grandma (aka my mom's friend, Tita Alice's mom). And though I wasn't close to their grandma at all, it still made me sad to see her die just a few days after her 79th birthday. I hope their family is okay.

[+] Between Chuck, Gossip Girl and updated fanfiction, I didn't know how I'd find time to squeeze in some Bones, but I did. And I'm so glad I did because this thing just keeps getting better. I spent the whole day watching new TV and reading fic and just enjoying the cuteness of Booth/Brennan.

[+] I went to mass as usual with my mom and there was this healing thing afterwards. I didn't attend it anymore and felt sort of guilty for not going (it's not required at all) because if things were a bit more problematic with school now, I would have so been there. Oh well.

[-] Supposed to get my haircut yesterday but the guy who does my hair told me Monday that he wouldn't be there Tuesday and today he still isn't there. The lady said he might be in tomorrow! Oh noes! How am I supposed to get a haircut if he's NOT sure to be coming in. I wanna look human for graduation.

[+] Finished season 1 of Bones and feel so giddy about moving onto the next season. Maybe I should try exercising while watching instead of lying down in bed. That will probably do me more good next time.

[+] Finally finally got my Twilight DVD!!! My cousin's uncle sent it via their cousin and I finally got my hands on it!!! I'm too scared to open it just yet but I want to watch it already! It feels so good to have it in my hands.

[-] Still didn't get my hair cut today because I woke up late and watched Bones Season 2 instead. I swear this show is too too addicting. I hope that when I catch up to season 4, there'll still be a season 5 and 6 and so on.

[+] I had graduation practice in the afternoon and it was so good to see my friends again! Seeing that all of us are graduating and that we've gotten this far was making me all choked up. I also saw Anna, whom I hadn't seen in ages. We used to be around each other 24/7 for almost two years and now we barely see each other. I'm gonna miss her.

[+] Also hung out with Ana for a bit before I took her home. I'm also going to miss this girl terribly. And then I saw Sophie and we rescheduled our sleep over cause we need one stat. I don't know what I'm going to do when we're all off to whatever these coming months.

[+] Finally got my 90210 download and I finally watched it. This show is iffy at times. I don't know how if I'll be watching it next season. I mean I like it, but I don't know. I'm confused.

[+] And of course, more Bones. Because really, what else do you do when you don't have class and are two days away from graduation? When I went to mass that evening, it felt good to tell our priest (not the one I crush on), that I'm graduating! I had asked him to pray for me because of all the drama. Feels good to have a priest on your side.

[+] My life is all about Bones. Really. I wake up and watch Bones. Have lunch and watch some more Bones. Have dinner and then watch Bones. It's funny cause I was supposed to get my haircut in the afternoon but I couldn't leave myself to wait in the parlor for my turn knowing full well I could be watching Bones at home instead.

[+] After mass, I FINALLY got to get my haircut and a pedicure and my eyebrows threaded -- the works! What did I do when I got home though? That's right, watched Bones.

Sunday // Graduation Day

Morning and Afternoon[me]
I know that the meme only says 8 days, but come on, I graduated on the 9th day and that makes me happy. As for the deep, meaningful thoughts on my future? I don't have much. I guess I'm just really grateful that I made it this far.

If You're Happy and You Know It

[+] Post about something that made you happy today.
[+] Repeat for eight days:
Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 |
Day 5 | Day 6 | Day 7 | Day 8
I didn't ever think this day would come. It does sort of feel like yesterday that I was merely entering the university. And now, four years later, I still feel like a clueless freshman.

I don't know what the future holds for me, but despite all the low low lows that college brought upon me, it'll definitely still be four of the BESTEST years of my life. Bring it on, future!

Moving On

[+] Despite watching Bones till 2 am, I actually woke up at 6:30 to get ready for graduation. I surprisingly made it to the UP Film Institute Cine Adarna for the recognition rites of my college. It started late! and we were waiting forever, but the ceremony was pretty quick.

[+] Seeing Anna give the valedictory speech and Hazel's Grad Video almost brought me to tears. I'm gonna miss seeing all my girls (and male friends -- though little). It was nice to see everyone dressed up too. Me and an org mate (from another course) were in the same dress! It was cool though.

[+] Went home to eat lunch and watch more Bones (1 episode only) and then get ready to be back for the University Graduation at 3pm. I didn't think we'd make it back on time, but we did. The best part? It didn't rain. It's been raining like hell these past few days. I think we prayed too hard though, cause it was too damn sunny. It was so hot. We were sweating so bad.

[+] 3000 graduates and we were all just raring to get out of there. The keynote speaker was National Artist Virgilio Almario and he gave a really good address. Our batch was pretty smart too with 18 summa cum laudes, 125 magna cum laudes and like 700+ cum laudes! Not bad!!!

Duo Steak Dinner

[+] And it ended on time (cause we started on time). I was so hungry by the time we got to Duo, I felt like I could eat an entire steak, but my dress (though pretty wasn't exactly for pigging out), so I couldn't quite finish my steak and foie gras. Really good though. It was nice to spend it with my family and have the cake that said "Congratulation[s] Patty!"

Thank You Everyone!

Thanks to everyone who helped me get this far. From my family, who never stopped loving me; to my friends (high school who I barely get to see; and college friends who saw me through my ups and downs and every production class in between), my LJ friends that I definitely kept me company for my four years of ranting in college; and just anyone who prayed for me and wished me well and helped me with my college. Thanks everyone! I feel like it wasn't just me who graduated, but everyone else who helped me along too! Here's to what the future holds for me. Bring it on, future!
