|So Perfect||[Megan McCafferty]|
She said she'd be releasing one every other day until the release of the book on April 15! And so I'm actually really psyched for it.
I don't think I've ever written about my love for the series, but Jessica Darling and Marcus Flutie are love. I started reading it in high school because I fell in love with the cover first and then realized the insides were absolutely amazing.
Megan McCafferty made me dream of my very own Marcus Flutie, wishing he'd exist in my reality -- wearing You. Yes. You. shirts (thus my flist title) or making me poems folded origami style. Alas, he doesn't exist just yet for me.
10. Four words: Marcus Flutie shower scene.Say what!?! No really, anything with Marcus Flutie is heaven and so Charmed Thirds was pure torture because Marcus was barely in it, but my love for Jessica's ultra introspective writing pulled me through. But Marcus and shower scenes are enough to get me going. Thank you Megan McCafferty, you better pull out all the stops on this one.
9. The 74-page conversation between Jessica and Marcus was inspired–in part–by the movie Before Sunset. This film’s final moments make for the most gorgeous, heart-stopping ending I’ve ever seen on screen.I love their conversations just because they're so witty and I could never come up with such brilliant trains of thought and now she says there's going to be a 74 page conversation!!! Hello count me in!!!! I can feel myself quoting lines from that. And then she says it's partly inspired by Before Sunset -- a movie that always breaks my heart so this should be pretty freaking epic.
I can't wait to see what the rest of the list is like, but I really can't wait for Perfect Fifths. It's sad that it's the last of the series, but I'm sure Megan has something fabulous too up her sleeve.
