# 003 : The Super Man

In this day and age, super human powers don't exactly exist. I don't think anybody can do everything he wants to do at once. No one. There are some things you just can't do. There are just some things you can't control. This doesn't mean you're not a good person. It just means that you are a person.

When I get a guy, I don't expect him to be available for me 24/7. That's because I want a guy who actually has his own life. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if he could do nice things for me, like say, pick me up when I have to do stuff late. But, I don't expect him to do this all the time. That's why I'm resourceful. I can look for rides home or to wherever I'm going. He's not my driver after all.

But, it's not just about my vehicular situation, it's the fact that the guy is just doing these things because he feels as if it's his duty. Finding a way to some place is no one's responsibility but my own. If you're tired and can't bring me to wherever, it's fine. In fact, if you're just feeling lazy, or have a previous engagement, I'm not forcing you to drop your life for me.

Don't worry about your image too much. Because what I hate more than guys who feel like they have to do everything for their girlfriends because people might think they're being irresponsible boyfriends, is when the guy does something grudgingly and then tries to make you feel guilty or by implying that he's making such a huge sacrifice for me, when I never even forced him in the first place. Why go through all that torture for someone who you supposedly love, right? And what for? His image? So not worth it.

I'd rather not go some place with someone who's just feeling obliged to bring me there because I end up not having fun. And that was the entire point of going out in the first place. Everyone ends up in a foul mood, and there goes another thorn in the relationship.

So to all the wannabe Supermen, give it up. Please. For all our sakes. There are other ways to show your love for someone, and feeling obliged to do things for them isn't one of them. Besides, Christopher Reeve has passed away. Let's do him honor by not trying to be him. I prefer normal guys. Guys who show me that they don't have to be my chauffeur (because I don't want them to be), to be a great friend. Guys who don't have to travel so far just to get me somewhere, instead takes me places without leaving our seats. Guys who don't expect too much, and instead are happy with what I've got to give.

Allow me to quote from the wise words of a 13-year old (sex goddes a la Lindsay Lohan in the making), Jojo:

You ain't got to buy nothin'
(it's not what I want)
Baby it's you
We don't have to go nowhere
(it's not what I want)
Baby it's you
It's not 'bout what you got
I know you got alot
No matter what you do, you always get it hot its you (its you)
Baby all I want is you yeah

Not as profound as I was hoping for, but my sentiments exactly.

You don't need super human capabilities to impress me. Normal guys who can sometimes be geeks too, are perfectly fine.

Brush, Step, Turn and Curtsy

To Hannah, the most responsible president, and most generous friend, I just want to greet you a very Happy Birthday!!! Thanks for all the wonderful and sometimes not so wonderful memories. You are a truly fantabulous girl. I wish you all the best!
I ♥♥♥ you

Cotillion. Like in the OC, we have to dance with partners, except we're not in all white (thank god!). If only Ben Mackenzie were dancing with me. I'm not complaining though, partner. Our teacher was kind of freaky. It's our second meeting, and I thought it was really impressive that we got our steps right already. She's a real strict person and I'm a tad scared of her. I was just saying where we were in the line and she suddenly tells me to shut up because she's running the show.

I got a bit embarrassed, but it's all good. She must be a damn great teacher, if she's taught 200 cotillions and not a single one has committed a mistake, as she claims. I'm actually really excited for Gela's huge debut! I've never had something to do in debuts and now, I'm in the cotillion. I even had my dress made and I'm really excited about it. It's green and I've never had a style like this. Then again, I only have one gown. And even if my partner only showed up today, and late at that, we got a hang of things.

I hope we don't mess it up. That would be even more embarrassing.
