Enchant me, my chivalrous prince

I have to say that I've had a run-in with that word chivalry a lot these past few weeks. In fact, all its derivatives too. Yesterday, I watched the SCOP's first major project, a premiere night, at Galleria. Nope, not the Frell Galleria, but the one right across school. Ella Enchanted was a really really really cute movie.

I don't care what anyone says, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the movie! Maybe I'm just a sap, maybe I'm just a kid, maybe I'm just really a romantic. It didn't hurt that I'm a huge Anne Hathaway fan. And it never ever ever hurt to have a hot guy at the same time. I think a lot of people agree with me when I say that Prince Char aka Hugh Dancy who also starred in King Arthur as Galahad was pretty damn fine!

But why did I really appreciate the movie? Everything was going against me that day, it rained so hard, that it was traffic everywhere and Paola didn't even make it to the screening. And still, I absolutely enjoyed because I'm such a sap! I got all giddy with the cheesy dialogue. I sighed when they kissed, I almost gasped when they got married. I was just saw enamored by the entire thing. And it never hurt to have dancing and singing in the movie too. I love dancing and singing in movies.

So here I am, congratulating SCOP. You guys did a wonderfully fantabulous job! If it makes you feel even greater about yourselves, the choice of movie was fantastic! Lee-Ann, Tala, Jo-Anne, JV, Danica, Kat, Mara, Marianna, Andy, Clar, Elise, Mariz, Nadine, Carla, and Zenda -- sorry for those names that are incorrect names, I was just making sure you were all there -- CONGRATULATIONS!!! You reinforced the thought that maybe, just maybe, my chivalrous/noble prince/knight is going to rescue me from this barren, rude-guy-filled world. Thanks again! You guys really are enchanted!

Monobloc Chairs and Me

Just to let all my officers know, I had the best time at CSDC training yesterday! Sure, we didn't win, but we sure as hell had fun trying. There were frustrating times -- I don't blame you at all, Melch for having a hard time with the mission statement, I couldn't memorize it either -- and there were times were I just wanted to collapse -- Mindy, you and I are bonded (to a monobloc chair!) for life, you are the best acrobat/high wire walker ever -- but in the end, it was all for the good.

In spite of the rain falling hard above our heads, muffling the desperate yells of my gorgeous and responsible officers from the smashing, Third Unit, I am enlightened by the Pastoral Spiral, EPC diagram and the Fishbone Diagram and all that stuff. You guys are really trying your best and it really shows! CSDC just keeps getting better and better!

My white rubber shoes still need washing from all the running in the mud, but it was worth it. Sweating and balancing myself and Mindy on a monobloc chair across the parking lot will always hold a special place in my heart.
