Can't Believe It

I woke up at 5 am. That is amazing. That's unbelievable. That's very school-like. It's not like I had much of a choice. Paola, my little sister, and I share a room and when the lights were turned on, it was kind of difficult to ignore it. So, I helped her get ready for school, just like a dutiful sister is supposed to and I even made her hair into a high ponytail. She looked really excited too. Even if she was denying it to death, you could see it. She could barely sleep the night before. She slept way past midnight -- which is really normal for her.

Still, it was crazy how excited she was. She really is, a kid after all. I remember when I'd cry on the last day of school because I was going to miss my classmates and my teacher. I can't believe myself, now that I think about it. I was just so excited to go to school. Even if you didn't need to bring your books on the first day of school, I'd lug them up the stairs on my trusty backpack. Goodness, what a dork!

Now, I'm dreading school like the plague. It's probably so obvious with my former entries, but it's just haunting me... I don't want to go back at all. I really don't...

According to the article I've been reading, today is What to Wear Wednesday. The thing is, what I will wear to school isn't even done yet. My gorgeous momma is currently sewing the freaking thing. So much for shopping for the perfect outfit, according to the said article, I'm stuck to my yellow - orange uniform.

Then again, now that I think about it, I'm actually glad I have a uniform. I'm not really one to stand up for individuality, because I honestly and am more grateful that I don't need to stress about what I'm supposed to wear to school and worrying if it'll look good, or if I've repeated that certain outfit. Uniforms do stifle self-expression, but it saves your sanity and a lot of money too.
