I am. I've been watching Ally Mcbeal -- reruns actually, as I used to watch every Tuesday on RPN -- and I've realized just how adorable James Marsden can be. The fact that he can sing really well on the show, doesn't hurt one bit either. He's sung Witchcraft by Frank Sinatra and Always on My Mind by Elvis Presley. We've had the mp3 of the Witchcraft since forever, and it's really nice to listen to.
But after re-watching the episode of Jenny's birthday, I was dead set on downloading his version of Always on My Mind. Here's the fun part. I couldn't find it anywhere. Not on LimeWire. Not online. Not even in fan sites of the show (ally mcbeal) or in james marsden sites. Nowhere.
I was about to go offline, giving up and settling with Elvis's version of the song, when I told myself to do one last search. I've tried all combinations of James Marsden's name. Still, I persist. I type james marsden for the last time. Just as I'm about to disconnect, I see it. It finally appears in the search.
Maybe I didn’t treat you
Quite as good as I should have
Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
You were always on my mind
Maybe I didn’t hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I’m so happy that you’re mine
If I make you feel second best
Girl, I’m sorry I was blind
This show really has a lot of cool songs that get played. I also liked the episode where Robert Downey Jr. and Sting sing Every breath you take for Ally's birthday. That was easier to find and download so I didn't have such a hunt looking for it.
Tomorrow is a Monday, so there'll be Ally McBeal again. It stinks that Jenny and Glenn are back together, because I thought Ally looked better with Glenn. Still, as long as James Marsden is in the show, I'll be watching.
