It's The End of the World
I know I'm NOT a fashionista, but I think I can a spot a fellow clothing challenged friend when I see one, right? Well, hold your breath for this one.

Perez Hilton has a what?!? This is just plain disturbing.
Celebrity snitch Perez Hilton is launching his own clothing line, Perez Hilton For Hot Topic. Be on the lookout for products like Perezcious Pink and Gossip Gangster Flip Flops, ranging in prices from $2-$50.

“I keep seeing these lines from the likes of Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag that give me nightmares,” he says. “My brand will be very conscious of my audience.” [PopCrunch]
Apparently, all you need to get a clothing line these days is a little bit of buzz and absolutely no experience in the fashion industry and you're set to get your own line.

Take for example, Heidi Montag who just couldn't let Lauren one up her. Calling her line Heidiwood, it didn't exactly get the most stellar of reviews. But somehow, I forgave her. Or rather I just didn't care.

But Perez?! This I really just don't understand. Believe me, I'd love to eat my words when he releases a to die for collection, but somehow, I'm doubting that. Who's next? The Girls Next Door?

Now Let Me See You Work It
So I know I'm not the most fashion forward person in the world. In fact, I consider myself to have absolutely no personal style. And I know fashion is all about taking risks or whatever, but somehow this just doesn't sit so well with me -- or rather you wouldn't ever see this on my head.
MK Olsen was seen wearing a Marc Jacobs puffy headband from his Fall 2008 collection. She turned up at the "New Yorkers for Children Gala" with her trademark renaissance hair decorated with the soon to be accessory of the moment. This hair piece is something that has left me slightly perplex, a little bit eighties, a little bit medieval it's not something I could ever wear unless I was going to a fancy dress party. [July Stars]
This feels like those puffy headbands we would wear as kids and it was so loose it would fall on your face? Well, this is just like it, except it's meant to be on your forehead (a la sports headband when you're playing tennis and all). I doubt it cost like a normal headband too. Oh well as Gwen Stefani said, "style is style, fashion is fashion." I'm so not a fashionista.

I Want that Cute Asian Kid!!!
I'm not even a fan of kids, but there's something about Philip Lim 3.1 Kids that I'm so in love with. Is it the fact that he modeled the children's clothes after his women's spring '08 collection without making the kid looking old? Or am I just in love with the kid! The child is sooooo adorable I can barely stand it.

Of course, we must remember that the cheapest thing in this collection is a $60 tshirt, but hey, I'm sure celebrity kids can afford this. What I wanna know is if they have anything in my size. Cuuuute!!! )

Bend and Not Break
So it's Holy Week and I don't feel quite as holy. That's cause there's still submissions to get to and deadlines to meet. Holy Monday was spent making the BC 185 paper that's due tomorrow. Lovely. I spent a good twelve hours on it, and my ass hurts from too much sitting.

I hope that our 111 podcast gets approved already so I can breathe easier at night and actually fall asleep in peace. I find myself worrying all the time if what my group did was good enough already.

Tools of Torture
BC 111: Podcast, Documentation, Launch

BC 122: Power Point, AVP (interview, encoding, editing), Live Coverage
BC 123: Documentary (Production, Script), Drama Finals (Outline, Script)
BC 185: Concept Paper Finals
Comm Res 125: Power Point Ad, Photoshop Tutorial, Integration Finals
Comm 141: Scientific Paper Poster
Why can't I just be Linsday Lohan and make my own leggings line? Seriously now? She's not even making a legit fashion line? Just the leggings? Or even Kermit the Frog? At least he gets to model for Supreme? Because apparently, I just found out that I have NO SUMMER BREAK at all. I have deadlines well into April and summer class/internship starts in April. So that really leaves no time for actual rest. And I thought my Holy Week was going to be free. Not quite.

Apparently I won our org's elections. I'm now a team director. whoa. this is new for someone who's not quite good with responsibility. I can barely handle academics as it is. but hey, let's give the org a shot.

It's funny because I don't even have time to think about you and yet I do. You didn't even have to ask for my anything, I was going to give you everything anyway. And yet, I know I deserve better.

Turn that TV Off For a Minute
  • I haven't drank Starbucks for the longest time. But if I ever needed three reasons one reason I should be a Starbucks barista in Los Angeles, here it is. Three consecutive days of coffee breaks with Wentworth, Wentworth, and more Wentworth. Seriously. I don't know how the baristas even wake up to go to work the next day knowing they're going to meet him.

  • After editing our BC 123 documentary, Anna and I were oh so hungry. So we decided to drive in at McDonalds in Greenhills. By the time we drove out, we realized we were just right next to the drive in of Krispy Kreme. Oh the decisions we had to make. To burger or to donut? Choose no more. Doughnut Burgers are a happy compromise and a surefire way to kill you instantly. Hello Lipitor.

  • It's official. ANYONE can be a designer. All you got to be is popular and someone will offer to slap your name on a tag at the back of a shirt. I can't wait to see little sk8rgirls running around claiming to be anti-pop dressed in Abbey Dawn. Doesn't the name shout rock!?

  • So I'm a self-confessed techno-addict too. I'm either plugged to something or attached to a screen. TV, laptop, cellphone, iPod. I'm always facing a monitor. And I thought a Lenten fast from all things techie was difficult, this woman is unplugging for 52 days (not consecutively though). I'd probably just die.
