The Never Ending Field Trip
boat ride

I usually don't want field trips to end. When I was in high school, I was just always raring to get on the road no matter how crummy the places were. The further from school the better. The longer we stayed, the happier I was.

Last week, I had an overdose of field trips. PI 100 had a two day back-to-back field trip. Friday was set for a ferry ride of Pasig River (yes that one). The long and winding river ) While Saturday was from 7 in the morning till 9 in the evening, as we flitted from place to place -- that had something to do with Rizal. I usually spend Saturday mornings at home asleep, so this was going to be difficult. Are we there yet? ) It was a good thing Mr. Sexy Back (also known as my cutest PI 100 classmate) was there. Sure, he probably thought I was checking him out (which I was), but hey it's not like I ever have to see him again.

Thank goodness this field trip wasn't even overnight. I couldn't bare to stay away from home any longer. This was a long and tiring day but thanks to friends and crushes it made things worthwhile. Oh and finally, PI 100 is over.

Voice Post: Summer Drama
VoicePost Help

“This summer isn't how I expected it to be. Other than the fact that I have summer internship which takes up a lot of my time, then there's PI 100 which takes up the other lot of my time. There's also additional academic drama that I really don't want to deal with but of course I have to. I'm just hoping for the best and trying to keep positive. But really I didn't see this coming at all and the worst part is, I really didn't intend on doing anything malicious or evil. So I need everyone's prayers, hoping that I pull through this one because other than this I still have my other academic duties. I still have a lot of work to do with past subjects like 122 which won't be finished until June 1. And then of course, there's PI and 197 internship. I like going to Max. That's my favorite part of the summer. Other than that, I just pray that I get through this year and graduate next year on time.”

To The Max!
Summer class has been crazy. With PI 100 five days a week, DZUP internship/recording and Max FM internship, there's basically no time to breath. If I were to choose though what I enjoy most about summer class, I'd have to say, it's trekking all the way to Ortigas in the morning for our internship at Max FM 103.5

Everyday, Anna and I wake up early and go to the Jollibee Plaza (where there is NO Jollibee) so that we can fulfill our hours "interning" at the somewhat new radio station. Our boss assigned us to interview all the DJs about themselves and their shows then we have to write up press articles for them. I know, it has nothing to do with our course, but when did internships ever? I'm really happy with my assignment anyway.

We're down to two DJs left to interview, but so far, they've all been ultra nice and their personalities are all so diverse/interesting. Plus, this Sunday, we're attending the Max Road Challenge (we're PA-ing, but that's alright) where we drive all the way to Tagaytay a la "Amazing Race." Now that's something to look forward to.

Right now, Anna and I are transcribing interviews in the office while listening to the countdown.

What a difference a day could make.

It's times like these I realize what's truly important in my life. My family. My clear conscience. My reputation. Everything else can go to hell, as long as the people I love know the truth.

Still, I wouldn't mind a little peace and quiet. Why do things have to be so hard?

Too Much Coffee
I've complained time and again about the amount of work I had this semester and most of that work could be pointed at BC 111 and BC 122. Last night, our BC 111 class had our culminating activity of sorts at Figaro Meralco Strip to launch our podcasts, "Stir Your Senses."

Making the podcasts were no joke and preparing for the launch was no joke either. I cursed this subject to the highest heavens, but when all was said and done last night, I felt sad. Don't get me wrong, I was glad the work was over. But I was sad too. + )

bye bye bye bc 111

I'm thankful that our work is over, and I'm thankful for the friends I gained and the things I learned. I wasn't able to take pictures because I was busy but Paola took a bit for me. Click here for more pictures of the event! And ABS-CBN Online even made a write up!!! Okay, the caffeine is wearing off. I'm out now.
