So Long, 2012!

"There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does." -- The Fault in our Stars

Books

I managed to reach the 50 book quota this year though I got lazy some time in between. I tried to branch out of my comfort zone, but we all know I'll always come back to romance and young adult books.

Movies

A lot of my crushes and girl crushes had movies come out this year and though I still have yet to see Anna Karenina and Les Miserables, I'm sure those would have been part of my favorites.

Music

So much wonderful music came out this year and I was so lucky to have seen so many concerts (most of which were just lucky invites). And though some here came out years before, they're still goodies.

Television

I let go of some of my television shows this year and said goodbye to other shows not out of choice. I'm still sad to see Chuck and Merlin go, but happy for new favorites.

Real Life

January

Started the year with a wedding of an awesome couple (Mark & Barb), tried out new things, and enjoyed a relatively cheap concert that started way too late.

February

Turned 25 (waiting for the quarter life crisis) and dropped my work phone 7 floors. I also tried to dabble in nail art. We fail at it, obviously.

March

Took a stab at Pilates (that didn't last long) and started going out a little more (best and worst decision of the year?). Let #landian2012 begin.

April

Went to my first (and last) car show, said goodbye to really good office mate and got lost in Seoul, South Korea with my siblings.

May

Got quasi-stylish at the Candy Style Awards, saw Lady Gaga and her little monsters going at it and (tried to be cool when I) met a terribly cool man.

June

Went nuts for NKOTBSB, met my brother Pio's girlfriend, Janina (officially) and helped Abbey and Chris with their engagement photos.

July

Flew on a starship with Nicki Minaj, said 'see you later' to the fantastic, Reggie and broke the bank to fund my first solo London 2012 trip.

August

Got floored by the Stonehenge and everything London, fell in love with Tour Eiffel and all things Paris and came back home to awesome friends.

September

Tried a disastrous but somehow effective diet, trended on Twitter (again) for the Candy Fair and attended Chris and Abbey's beautiful wedding.

October

Reached my 2-year mark at work, felt terribly old at the Jo Bros concert and pulled off a strat plan and sales con with the help of the awesome, Risa.

November

met my brother PB's girlfriend during the fantastically long weekend in Singapore with Paola and sort of met Pietro's almost-gilfriend during his ambush birthday.

December

Got all kawaii at the office Christmas party (and subsequently #totessobes), enjoyed the holidays with the family and closed it with my last wedding of a family friend.
